It didn’t take for the pack to find something along the worn down path of the fiery path. Loud angry hisses erupted from the scene and could be heard by anyone near by, followed by dark growls and nasty snarls. Unfortunately for the lion cub, it somehow got cornered and surrounded back a pack of dangerous houndooms. It slashed at them, letting out more pissed out noises. Maverick rolled his eyes, arms crossed over his chest. He already had a Pyroar and honestly, he wasn’t really impress by the fire and normal type. His brow rose, eyeing the creature trying to determine if he wanted it or not.

It was Azar who broke formation, steeping forward to nip at the feline. The feline saw the opening, leaping high enough to ponce off the canine skull and dart out of the trap. Azar snarled, whipping around in an attempt to crunch down on the wild Litleo. The creature was swift, easily out speeding the massive canine. Ryoko was the only who throw his head back in a howl, boosting up the packs drive to chase. But before they could, Maverick stepped in.

“Leave it.” His voice boomed, dominating and forceful. The pack halted, some observed the little cub fleeing away while others turned to look at their master. “I don’t want it and its not worth our time.” Growls resinated from canine to canine, more upset they couldn’t chase then at the trainer himself. Turning, the scarred trainer motioned with a wave of his hand. “Come on,” he growled, “Let’s keep looking.” The pack followed without hesitation excepted Azar whom stared in the direction the wild pokemon escaped him. Maverick noticing, he growl more seriously “Azar”. The canine let out a snort, turning to follow the pack and his true alpha.

Another pokemon appeared, the sounds of chaos must have attracted it to them. However, the houndoom’s were already on high alert. It was Lukas who caught the scent first, throwing his head back in a howl to both warn and rally the pack. The howl sent chills down Maverick’s spine, glaze shifted to spot Tobias finding the poor wild pokemon in no time. His muzzle parted, CRUNCHIing down on the wild Pokemon’s back leg. It cried out, head turned to retaliate back. Kimba was the only to save him from the attack, her muzzle parted too. Sparks skipped across her teeth, THUNDER FANG snapped down on the creatures exposed neck. Another wail erupted from the poison type, the trainer preying that it didn’t have a ability like poison point.

At this point, the creature stood no chance. All the canine came in, each bitting down. Maverick frown, seeing the pokemon faint in no time. “Come on,” the man growled, partly feeling bad for the wild pokemon, “We don’t have all day.” The canine let go, swiftly retreating back to Maverick. The man eyed the body, figuring that if its still here when he come back through he would capture it. But for, his search continued.

A few hours had pass before the pack found something else to harass. This time though, it took them longer to take the creature down. Unfortunately not only was the bug also a fire type which triggered some of his hounds ability, any fire attack did little to no damage to his canines. It also didn’t help that the sizzlipede was very out numbered, only able to attack one canine at a time while the others fought back.

As expected, it didn’t take too much longer for the creature to go down. Several CRUCNHs, THUNDER FANGs, and even an IRON TAIL took it down. Maverick reached into his pocket once the creature was down, tossing an empty pokeball at the knock out pokemon. A sigh escaped, feeling tired despite not really do much today. The canine’s hovered over the ball, all ready to attack if the pokemon dared to escape.
